Misty stars and deep-sea fish

All these years,
knee deep
in the other sea.
Unfolding the dust,
of past summers.

Now, a magpie’s
slow curve –
day after day.
And stillness
on the pond.

Let death be,
reaching a new place.
Calm – moonlit
and empty, finally falling.
The first evening, again.
