Meditation

The sky of this season,
will pass by.
And autumn
will fill the space.
I cannot count
all the stars
in the autumn sky.
Without sadness
and misgiving.
My suffering has
no reason.
Who is it,
that calls me.
Written in the gardens of Daegu Confucian School

Today, I dance
to a song of life.
When will this song end?
Not for a while ,
for I am enchanted
with this song.
Like the spotless sky ,
no longer a slave to death.
Barebones now!
Haeundae Beach

Time flirts,
before a ceaselessly
flowing tide.
All those memories,
washed over the sand.
An image far out to sea.
Song for a couple

The wind did not hesitate today,
but the clouds lingered.
No wonder,
clouds turn into rain.
Often a prelude to death,
bleeding clear tears
and candle dances.
It rained today….
Shadows over Busan

A church I came across whilst walking in Busan , South Korea.
I saw the clouds in Busan,
turn to rain.
The birds became butterflies,
and the ants
shivered and trembled.
Pushing away
returning solitude…..
I was carried away,
for the rest of the day.
A skylark sings

Carrying a loss,
can be heavy.
It whirls around
the East Sea…
touching every
sorrowful moment
of learning.
I want to go
to a higher place.
A serene morning,
once again.
Gwangalli Beach

Gwangalli Beach, Busan South Korea.
Wearing the cold sea,
stopping and thinking quietly…
” What will be in the future?”
I look out, as far as I can see.
For I have grieved for these times.
A visit to Choi Sunu’s House

I watched the ants
in Choi Sunu’s garden…..
carrying leaves on their backs,
filled with weary lives.
Then the wind turned
round and round, like a top.
And the ants were gone.
On the road

A poem I wrote this evening whilst walking on the streets of Seoul .
