Love in Pingtung

I took a trip to Pingtung this week, and wrote a poem about this experience πŸ™

The lady told me,
I had beautiful eyes.
Filled with my soul.
The old general,
looked pale and thin.
Forced to detour,
for the sake of the past.
How many moments,
I am indebted.
Let me come to be still,
in your beauty.

To see the moon

I wrote this poem in Pingtung, Taiwan yesterday. A great city to visit. The poem reflects a moment, with the woman I love πŸ™

I am travelling,
the perfect afternoon.
Plum water,
seasoned with petals.
Comes to rest on my lips.
My autumn pillow.

In a short life

A wonderful day in Pingtung with a beautiful woman. A poem I wrote πŸ™
Β
Summer fades away,
the last echoes
of hammer and wood.
Those moments with you,
a burning sky into the sea.
Β
In and out of time, and self –
a search for meaning.
Each kiss and touch an answer,
there is nothing –
and there is everything.

Listening to the night

I walked last night by the National Arts Center in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. A beautiful place and I wrote this poem.
Β
Behind the jasmine
at Weiwuying.
Fleeting moments
to be grasped.
Entwined souls shake,
tasting forbidden fruit.
A thousand kisses,
and bliss at the peak.
This single moment,
your life and mine.

Burnt by the sun

Solitude, each day
reaching out to life.
Tears breaking,
but unseen.
I was left alone
on this island.
Β
Then, your eyes
curled on me –
and I was waiting.
Soft whispers
of affection
touch my spirit.
Β
But your ego,
a stone staircase.
No more, than
blithe tears falling.
A false prophet,
dried to a sand path.
Alone on this island.

A single flower

Death has always been part of my life. To die well is something we should all think about. A restless night, after I looked at some old photographs. And living alone, I only have my poetry to talk with πŸ™
Β
Through the waves,
that loss.
Dead ashes
and blind stars,
nourishing life.
A quiet love,
cut like a blade.
So many words
unsaid, drift
upon the west wind.
That was the way
it was.

With a child’s heart

A poem I wrote about a wonderful afternoon and evening..with a beautiful woman πŸ™

That’s how it starts,
a port and sea sounds –
here I love you.
Round and round
on the carousel.
Your smile,
and slow twilight
sing to me.
Tonight, I can write
the happiest lines.

Love cannot be ceased

Unable to sleep, I woke early and wrote this poem πŸ™

An autumn mist,
endows the footsteps
of our loving silence.
Clouds over
Kaohsiung harbour,
flash – with your
sweet embrace
In the midst
of the outer waves,
I still see you.
Your smile,
and eyes open
for my return.
Everything now
seems clear.
